Prep for Fund Manager
A course designed to prepare participants for a career as a professional fund manager.
Fund managers are responsible for managing client portfoliosâallocating assets, selecting investments, and optimizing returns. This involves analyzing markets, securities, and risk to shape effective investment strategies. They closely monitor performance to meet return targets while managing risk. Successful fund managers need a solid grasp of economics, financial and capital markets, along with vision to drive the fundâs growth. Above all, they must uphold strong ethics to support a transparent and well-functioning capital market.
University students in their 2nd to 4th year majoring in finance, investment, or business administration, as well as students from other fields who are interested in or aspire to begin a career in the capital markets.
1. Classroom â Develop a solid understanding of the fund managerâs role and responsibilities to help students assess their readiness and gain a clear sense of career direction. The course also covers licensing exam prep, registration procedures, and official requirements from the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Students will learn directly from experienced professionals to confidently step into the industry as true professionals.
2. Workshop â Apply and strengthen the knowledge gained throughout the course in a hands-on, team-based format. Students will be divided into groups to analyze business structures, assess company valuations, and evaluate financial strategies and tools tailored to specific client business plans. Each team will be guided by a mentorâan experienced professional providing personalized guidance throughout the workshop.
3. Evaluation & Feedback â Each team will present their work from the workshop to receive feedback, suggestions, and constructive criticism from the experts. This allows them to refine their skills and continue growing into professional financial advisors. The team with the highest score will be awarded an educational sponsorship of 50,000 Baht.
